Warehouse Operative
Leeming Bar, Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Salary: £12 per hour
We are looking for Warehouse Operatives who are committed to achieving excellence in areas of raw material and packaging movements within storage locations.
This will involve taking responsibility for processing deliveries, including unloading vehicles, barcoding and putting in correct stockroom locations, supporting with stock takes and audits, picking transfers and dispatching to other locations, picking stocks and making up mixes and processing all orders in a timely manner, ensuring order picking accuracy is achieved to meet customer specifications and food hygiene regulations. Additional duties will involve manual handling and lifting, general housekeeping and administration.
Previous Warehouse and FLT truck experience would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be provided. Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS office is required, along with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, as is a getting it right first-time attitude, a positive approach and a commitment to providing a first-class customer service. You must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and committed to the continuous improvement of the department and team culture. Excellent timekeeping and attendance is essential. The role can involve an amount of physical activity including heavy manual lifting while on your feet all day.
Additionally you will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to rotational day/night shift working and weekend working. Due to the location you will require your own transport.
