Refrigeration Engineer (UK)
Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire
Salary – up to £25 per/hr plus car allowance

Responsible for providing proactive and reactive maintenance support to our factories situated in North Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cornwall, the successful candidate will be a time served individual with a proven track record in the industrial refrigeration industry.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and based out of Leeming Bar factory you will be responsible for supporting Engineering Services in order to ensure UK site refrigeration systems operate effectively.
Your role responsibilities will include:
•Carry out preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and inspections.
•Carry out improvements to plant and equipment which improve reliability, flexibility and or performance.
•To record all work carried out on site on the SHIRE MMS and ensure that relevant documentation is brought up to date.
•Write / update refrigeration planned maintenance schedules.
•Update the maintenance system to include all refrigeration equipment and system.
•Update and maintain a critical spares list for the site refrigeration systems.
•Ensure all required spare parts for all site refrigeration systems are stocked by working alongside engineering stores
•Carry out refrigeration planned maintenance schedules as and when required.
•Assist rest of team when required with mechanical engineering / fitter support.
•Assist and Support to the rest of the engineering team via a call-out system for the refrigeration plant.
•To assist and advise on new installations and projects.
•To train other site engineers on the refrigeration system and plant operation.
To be considered for this role we require the following skills, qualifications and experience:
Ideally you will be qualified in a suitable mechanical/electrical subject with the relevant time served practical experience and skills in the following:
•Candidate’s must have 10 years industrial refrigeration experience working on; refrigeration systems
•Essential to hold the ‘F-GAS 2079 Refrigerant Handling’ qualification.
•Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems including ammonia plant qualified.
•Strong mechanical knowledge preferable with electrical capabilities.
We’re looking for a real self-starter, flexible with lots of initiative and ability. You will be influential, decisive and able to demonstrate good judgement with a high degree of self-assurance and confidence.
You will be available to attend and cover early morning start up’s and night shift working, when required. Additionally, there will be a requirement to attend call outs.
