This really is an exceptional opportunity for an automation engineering professional with relevant experience to join an outstanding and growing organization within the food industry. You will be involved in multiple projects providing the highest technical solutions and support to industrial control systems.
Reporting to the Projects Team Leader you will be responsible for the development and support of plant automation control and SCADA systems. Your role will be to design, develop and improve electrical and control systems used by the business. Ensuring that you manage change and system modifications in order to drive plant productivity, as well as supporting existing systems through user interface and via product management queries.
Your role responsibilities will include:

•Creating & working from design specifications
•Planning of software development timescales
•Design and implementation of PLC code.
•Design and Developing HMI Screens and SCADA System.
•Development and improvement of new & existing PLC Control Systems
•Testing & debugging PLC code
•Supporting Other Factory Sites
•Flexible and available for call-outs and out of hours Working
•Occasional overnight stays and UK wide travel

To be considered for this role we require the following skills, qualifications and experience:

You must be degree qualified (BEng, MEng, BSc) in a suitable electrical subject with the relevant practical experience and skills to design and process improve the following:
•PLC electrical control, HMI Screens (Allen Bradly & Siemens) and SCADA systems (Wonderware Intouch).
•PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley (Control Logix, SLC500) and Siemens (S7) PLC’s.
•Servo drive Programming and tuning (Allen Bradly), Variable frequency drive Programming (Allen Bradly, Danfoss)
•Implementation of communications protocols (Profibus, TCP/IP, OPC etc.)
•A background in fast moving goods machinery design, system integration, or industrial machinery related industry.
•Real self-starter, flexible with lots of initiative and ability. Influential, decisive and able to demonstrate good judgement with a high degree of self-assurance and confidence.
